PINKY, A 1967 390 Mustang, was brought to us after the owner bought it. The main body work was semi finished but the paint was thin and the front end metal had not been prepped or painted yet. Fenders hood and 1 headlight extension were NOS Ford parts and the car came with tons of new Scott Drake reproduction parts to complete the project. We got right to work finishing the paint work and began assembly as it was already August and we wanted to premier the car at the Houston ISCA Autorama on Thanksgiving week. It was a hard fought battle but she made it to the show with the last parts being put on the morning of check in day. Later that weekend It was awarded Second place. The First place car was a 67 Shelby GT500 we also resotored, It`s hard to beat a Shelby, especially one done by the same shop. Pinky has become our most famous restorations so far has appeared in Houstons news paper and made the cover of the Mustang Times August issue and Mustang Monthly. It has also been invited to the 2011 Musclecars at the Mansion event at the playboy mansion so look for it there.

More on Pinky to come.
